Sketches: Sikh Portraits

Here are three quick sketches inspired by the people I saw on our groups class trip to Amritsar, Punjab. This city, on the Pakistan border, is a largely Sikh population and serves as the greatest pilgrimage site for people of this faith–– the Golden Temple. Their devotion to service, feeding everyone, and faith touched my heart and exists in my memory as one of the most sacred spaces I’ve ever been gifted enough to enter.
